ABOUT US

Welcome

The New England Association for Colombian Children (NEACOL) is a non-profit organization that provides grants to projects that support Colombian children and families in need. NEACOL relies on the support of volunteers, donors, and sponsors to fund its programs, and is led by a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to make a positive impact. Since 2013, NEACOL has generated $350,000 in funds to support 33 programs and has touched the lives of more than 18,000 Colombian children in need.

The projects we support

Current Projects

In 2023, we are continuing our commitment to supporting projects that improve education. We strive to make a positive impact by diversifying our funding each year and providing valuable resources to local organizations in Colombia. Our focus is on reducing poverty by supporting programs that align with our areas of interest: Education Health Nutrition

Fundación Educadora Infantil Carla Cristina

This institution’s project includes delivering

300 kits of “Monstruo Terapia”, a strategy that strengthens children’s emotional development. Beneficiaries: 300 children, 4-5 years old (many displaced, migrant children and 6% with disabilities), 100 parents and caregivers

Fundacion Cindes

This project offers an inclusive educational program for children with disabilities or vulnerability that enables them to advance significantly in their learning process. Beneficiaries: 60 children with cognitive, motor, autism and multiple disabilities, all in conditions of displacement and their families.

Fundación Origen

This program focuses on teaching Colombian children sign language to deaf children so they can communicate in their mother tongue. Beneficiaries: 200 indigenous, migrants and afro descendants children between 2-16 years old — 50% with disabilities, primarily children with hearing impairment.
