ABOUT US

Welcome

The New England Association for Colombian Children (NEACOL) is a non-profit organization that provides grants to projects that support Colombian children and families in need. NEACOL relies on the support of volunteers, donors, and sponsors to fund its programs, and is led by a team of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to make a positive impact. Since 2013, NEACOL has given $400,000 in grants to support 38 programs, touching the lives of more than 19,000 Colombian children in need.

The projects we support

Current Projects

In 2024, we are continuing our commitment to supporting projects that improve Nutrition and Education. We strive to make a positive impact by diversifying our funding each year and providing valuable resources to local organizations in Colombia, and this year, in Massachusetts. Our focus is on reducing poverty by supporting programs that align with our areas of interest: Education Health Nutrition

Altos del Cabo by Fondacio

Project: Integral Ecologic Center
Location: Eastern mountains of Bogotá
Mission: Execute activities that contribute 

to the development of human integrity.
Impact: 200 children up to age 18.

Corporación Proyectandote Al Futuro

Project: Early Childhood Nutrition

Location: Corregimiento Llano Rico, Choco

Mission: Execute projects that promote the social and environmental growth and development of the community,  breast-feeding mothers and children in the region.
Impact: 100 children up to age 5.

Resguardo Indigena Zenu, El Volao

Project: Access to potable water
Location: Municipio de Necocli, Antioquia
Mission: Safeguard the life, culture, tradition and well-being of native communities
Impact: 541 children between ages 6 and 17.

Location: Arroyo Grande, Cartagen
Mission: Research on childhood wellbeing promoting the fulfillment of childhood rights.
Impact: 143 children up to age 18.

Project: Paving my Way to College
Location: Massachusetts
Mission: Conducted in partnership with the Consulate of Colombia in Massachusetts, the overarching goal is to transform Colombian students’ lives by providing access to higher education.
